Núria is named after the Albet brothers' mother, Núria Noya. (Their other leading blend is named after Josep Maria Albet's son, Martí). The Caladoc variety in the blend is a cross between Malbec and Garnatxa, and is typical of the Albet's innovation and research into lesser known grape varieties. In keeping with the cellar's philosophy, this is an organic wine.
I’m not nuts about the label, but the wine is excellent: big, opulent, Mediterranean Merlot.
