Les Sorts Vinyes Velles is the top wine from the Cooperativa Agricola del Masroig. Since 1997 Ricard Rofes the winemaker has done an excellent job classifiying the best vineyards of the coop members, setting aside the oldest vines and best plots to produce this wine. It was aged for 15 months in oak barrels (45% American oak, 55% French). Liable to be slightly astringent in its youth, with a few months in the bottle the excellent fruit concentration comes through.
