Can Ràfols dels Caus was refounded in 1979, and make all their wine from 50 hectares of vineyards in their 450 hectare estate of the same name. This wine is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, and thereafter in the bottle. Indeed the tendency of this cellar is to release wines with some bottle age already, leading to mature, rounded wines with soft tannins and elegance.
