José Luis Pérez, owner and winemaker of Mas Martinet (together with his daughter Sara), is one of the standard bearers of the new Priorat wines - and their wines are getting better and better.
Clos Martinet 2004 is characterised by a return to rounder tannins along with clean fruit with lots of mineral and balsamic notes. Best cellared for a while, if you can't resist temptation I'd recommend decanting a while before drinking it.
