This wine is from Albet i Noya’s “collection” of monovarietal wines (along with a Cabernet Sauvignon, a Tempranillo and a Chardonnay). It is aged for a year in a combination of French and American oak barrels, and like all the cellar’s wines is certified organic. The labels from all the “Col·lecció” series are from paintings of the estate farmhouse made by local artists.
This Syrah has more prmary fruit than the other reds in the series, nicely balanced against the ripe tannins and a hint of oak.
