This wine is from Albet i Noya’s “collection” of monovarietal wines (along with an excellent Syrah, a Tempranillo and a Chardonnay). It is aged for a year in a combination of French and American oak barrels, and like all the cellar’s wines is certified organic. The labels from all the “Col·lecció” series are from paintings of the estate farmhouse made by local artists.
The wine shows rich warm-climate cabernet characteristics, but needs some air to show its full potential. Recommend decanting.
