1780 is the top of the range wine from Castell del Remei, specifically labelled as a "vi de guarda" - a wine to be laid down. It is aged for a year in new American oak barrels, and will benefit from further cellaring to be enjoyed at its best. The composition is predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon and Ull de Llebre, with a small percentage of Garnatxa from the cellar's vineyards in the Vall del Riu Corb at the south of the Costers del Segre area.
